Context
CoinMetro is a cryptocurrency platform designed to make trading, investing and account management more understandable for a broad range of users. The product needed a coherent interface system that could communicate trust while supporting complex financial actions.
Challenge
The central design challenge was balancing simplicity with capability. New users needed clear guidance and approachable workflows, while experienced users required efficient access to detailed information and advanced controls. The system also had to remain consistent as the product expanded.
Users and audience
The platform serves people with different levels of cryptocurrency experience. I used progressive disclosure, clear hierarchy and reusable interaction patterns so users could understand essential actions first and access greater detail when they needed it.
My role
I worked as Senior Product and UX/UI Designer, contributing to product thinking, UX research, interaction design, interface design and the evolving design system.
Scope and methods
The work included UX research, stakeholder workshops, sketches, user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, prototyping, usability testing and developer handoff within an Agile product process.
Discovery
I began by reviewing the product experience, facilitating design workshops and exploring visual and interaction directions through mood boards, sketches and early concepts.
Research
We tested the concept and key site interactions with five participants representing the intended audience. Their feedback helped validate navigation, clarify terminology and guide important interface decisions.
Design and handoff
After the wireframes were approved, I created high-fidelity Figma designs and reusable interface patterns. Clear specifications and shared components supported collaboration with developers and improved product consistency.
Prototype
I built and maintained a high-fidelity Figma prototype throughout development. It served as a practical reference for stakeholder review, usability evaluation and implementation.
Outcome
The redesigned experience strengthened clarity, consistency and product credibility. According to my career records, this work contributed to a 35% improvement in user retention.
